The University of Chicago's David and Alfred Smart Museum of Arthas named a curator from the Philadelphia Museum of Art as itsdirector.
Kimerly Rorschach began her post Monday and will also be alecturer in art at the university. Rorschach said she came to theSmart "because of its connection with the University of Chicago, agreat learning institution, and the museum's ambition. Even thoughit is a small museum, it strives to show the whole history of art."
Rorschach replaces Teri J. Edelstein, director until June of1992. Edelstein is the deputy director of the Art Institute ofChicago.
